World Wetlands Day Clean-Up: Newmarket Creek

Join us in celebrating World Wetlands Day at the headwaters of the newest member of the Creek Collective, Newmarket Creek. We will meet at 4 PM at the end of Grove Street at the LowLine.

About the event
This World Wetlands Day, join the Carolina Ocean Alliance, the City of Charleston WaterWise and Sustainability teams, Keep Charleston Beautiful, Friends of the LowLine, and The MARSH Project in celebration of Newmarket Creek.
Beginning at 4 PM, we will meet at the headwaters of Newmarket Creek at the end of Grove Street by the LowLine. Participants will break up into teams with data sheets, grabbers, buckets, and bags to clear litter and debris from the areas around the creek. We will have recycling bins on site for glass and metal that can still be recycled.
After the clean-up, join us for a Green Drinks celebration of Newmarket Creek, the newest member of The Creek Collective, at Edmund's Original.
