About the event

Welcome back to The Hope Summit Virtual Book Club, a new virtual option for the quarterly book club that we host each month in Charleston, South Carolina. Join us on Wednesday, April 29th at 6 PM on Google Meet to celebrate the rare and unique native species and landscapes of the American South.

In the second quarter of the 2026 book club, we will explore how we can protect and restore landscapes and seascapes. In celebration of Lowcountry Earth Month, we kick off this quarter with "Saving the Wild South" by Georgann Eubanks. "Saving the Wild South" takes readers on a journey of discovery from Alabama to North Carolina in search of rare native plants, while examining how local development and climate change are threatening our native plant ecology.
