About the event
Welcome back to The Hope Summit Book Club, a new quarterly book club meeting in person on the last Tuesday of each month in Charleston, South Carolina. Join us Tuesday, April 28th, at 6 PM in the Wake Refill Courtyard (37 Cleveland St #101, Charleston, SC 29403) for "Saving the Wild South" with special guest Sharleen Johnson, Founder of Native Plants to the People.
In the second quarter of the 2026 book club, we will explore how we can protect and restore landscapes and seascapes. In celebration of Lowcountry Earth Month, we kick off this quarter with "Saving the Wild South" by Georgann Eubanks. "Saving the Wild South" takes readers on a journey of discovery from Alabama to North Carolina in search of rare native plants, while examining how local development and climate change are threatening our native plant ecology.
